जब तुम बादल बन के आयी ,

दिल की मेरी मरूभोम में 
बहार बनके छायी  !

बिन बरखा के 
फूल खिल गए 
और 
मेरी आँखों से बरसे जो रंग ,
दामन में तुम्हारे, 
मेघधनू बन खिंच गए  !

मेरे दो हाथ के बीच 
क्यूं थम गया था 
तुम्हारा हाथ  ?

और 
तुम्हारे दुपट्टे ने 
क्यों छोड़ा दामन का साथ  ?

बाली उम्र की तुम्हारी नज़ाकत 
आज भी 
नज़रों के सामने है  !

बैशाखी तो बहुत आयी और गयी ,
खिले कुछ गुल भी ,

वो भी 
तुम्हारे ज़ुल्फो की याद दे के 
मुरझाये  !

मेरी तन्हाइयो 
तुम्हारे सूरोसे 
अब भी भर जाती है  !
